One platform for different buttonhole tasks
The 581 series combines Dürkopp Adler's buttonhole experience with DAC comfort control, machine ID and graphical program control. The operator programs the eye, cutting length, stitch density and tack form for a repeatable result.
The exact process is defined by the subclass and E-kit: with or without eye, cross, taper or round tack, cutting before or after sewing, with or without gimp. MULTIFLEX expands flexibility where buttonhole forms and lengths change frequently.

Practical selection questions
What is the difference between BASIC, CLASSIC and MULTIFLEX?
BASIC is the economical universal platform. CLASSIC subclasses are optimized for specific garment segments. MULTIFLEX is chosen when cutting forms and buttonhole lengths change frequently and the highest flexibility is required.
Can class 581 sew denim and knitwear?
Yes. 581-141 and 581-341 with denim E-kits are intended for jeans, sportswear and workwear. Knitwear uses dedicated equipment such as E1204 or E1504/E1524, selected for the material test.
Why must the E-kit be selected separately?
It determines the throat plate, loopers, spreaders, clamps, knives, needle size and therefore the buttonhole width, eye, cutting length and compatible operation. Use the E-kit card and source catalogue page to verify the exact composition.
